This award is named in honor of Oliver Dejesu, Class of 1953. Ollie was an outstanding football player at Chaminade and Holy Cross College. He was Co-Captain of the 1951 undefeated Varsity Football Team. While serving in the armed forces in Japan, he contracted multiple sclerosis and died on May 8, 1977. This award is given to the second most valuable member of the Varsity Football Team.
